OPERA OMNIA

Instrumental & Vocal ensemble

Opera Omnia is a young ensemble and its principal aim is to explore the baroque and classic repertoire from a new and different point of view with a fresh and free of damages interpretation, but well supported in rigorous historical and musical criteria.

Opera Omnia pay special attention to recovering projects of the Spanish music legacy particularly unknown works written in spanish. We have already collected a huge amount of transcribed works from several Spanish musical libraries. We have made different concerts program with those works and recorded some CD´s.

 

Opera Omnia musicians have been formed in some of the most well-known European Schools as Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Le Haye Conservatoire or Guildhall School of Music and Drama of London with teachers as Hopkinson Smith, José Miguel Moreno, Hiro Kurosaki, Jacques Ogg, Cristina Pluhar o Wilbert Hazelzet. Despite their youth they have a huge experience in historic interpretation being invited regularly by groups as La Capilla Real de Madrid, Florilegium, The Saraband Consort, Orchestra La Cetra o La Folía.

Opera Omnia concerts program try to be fresh with works never played before. In addition Opera Omnia want to offer an aesthetic and rewarding experience to the public, joining to the music other arts as dance, theatre o audiovisual media.

 

The principal aim of Opera Omnia have been to recover the Spanish musical legacy, unknown and not investigated enough. Raul Angulo, an expert musicologist in Spanish music is in charge to select and transcribe straight from the originals for Opera Omnia programs.
