The sound of the past

Opera omnia is a vocal and instrumental group specialized in music performance with historical criteria. They play original instruments with the most appropriate techniques to play ancient music.

Opera omnia was founded in Madrid in 2004. Rodrigo Guerrero is its musical director and principal conductor from 2005. The contacts between specialized ancient music musicians have permitted that new collaborators joined to do new projects.

Opera omnia is a flexible group able to approach a diversity of programs from works for a small ensemble till large works for soloists, choir and orchestra. The Opera omnia repertory is based in European music from 17th and 18th Century with special attention to the unknown Spanish music from that period.
